Water Tech, Inc. has been named the Arkansas Recycling Coalition’s 2026 Corporate Recycler of the Year, recognizing the company’s practical efforts to reduce waste, conserve resources, and improve sustainability across its operations.
The award was presented September 1 at the Arkansas Recycling Coalition’s 35th Annual Conference & Trade Show in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Turning Rainwater Into a Reusable Resource
At Water Tech’s Fort Smith facility, a 9,500-gallon rainwater recycling tank captures water for reuse in washing totes, helping reduce freshwater use in everyday operations.
It’s a straightforward example of Water Tech’s approach to sustainability: finding practical ways to use resources more efficiently and reduce waste.
A Broader Commitment to Responsible Operations
The rainwater system is one of several initiatives supporting responsible resource management across the company.
Water Tech’s efforts also include soil remediation projects in Montana, aluminum can recycling, reuse of recovered truck oil for winter heating, and secure paper recycling through Stericycle Shred-it.
Together, these initiatives reflect the waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and sustainability practices the Arkansas Recycling Coalition recognizes.
Sustainability Put Into Practice
For more than three decades, Water Tech has helped customers improve water quality, treatment efficiency, and resource management. The same practical mindset guides how the company approaches its own operations.
Receiving the 2026 Corporate Recycler of the Year Award reinforces that commitment and recognizes the work across Water Tech to conserve resources and operate more responsibly.
Water Tech is proud to receive this recognition and will continue looking for practical opportunities to reduce waste, conserve resources, and improve operational efficiency.
